  • The light on the pole at the entrance to the pier is on a dusk/dawn sensor and turns on/off automatically.

    On that same pole is a switch for the lights on the rest of the walkway.

    At the end of the walkway just to the left on the T-head are two more switches:

    One is a switch for the 2 lights on the T-head

    The other is a timer switch for the fishing lights.

    Please be courteous and turn off the lights when you leave the pier to conserve electricity

    Please keep the switch covers snapped closed to slow down salt water deterioration.

  • The Aransas County Transfer Station accepts some mildly hazardous wastes, including oil, batteries and paints.

    Aransas County Transfer Station does not accept gasoline, herbicides and pesticides. 

    The City of Corpus Christi will accept those items and some others that Aransas County will not, at their JC Elliott Transfer Station on  Hwy 286.   

    There is no requirement that folks be residents of Corpus or Nueces Co. There is no fee, but it is about a 40 minute drive from Herons Roost.
